Dr. Tina Peers graduated in Medicine at Guy's Hospital Medical School, London University in 1983.

She worked at Guy's Hospital for 1 year and then completed a 3 year GP Vocational Training Scheme at Cuckfield Hospital in West Sussex. She then worked part-time in General Practice for 7 years whilst she had her 3 children.

In 1992 she was asked to run the Contraceptive Services for women in East Surrey, becoming a Consultant in Contraception and Sexual Health in 1996.

In 1998 she learnt how to do Vasectomies, and since then has developed her own modified No-Scalpel Vasectomy technique, which she feels gives superior postoperative recovery. She has now performed over 3000 of these procedures.

In 2002 she became the Lead Clinician for the Mid-Surrey and East Elmbridge Contraceptive Services as well, and was awarded a Fellowship by the Faculty of Sexual Reproductive Healthcare in 2004.

Also in 2004 she started to train in Cosmetic Aesthetics, an area of her private practice she particularly enjoys.


In 2005 she became the lead clinician for the entirety of the Contraceptive Services in Surrey. In 2012 she was appointed as the Clinical Director of the Sexual & Reproductive Services in Surrey for Virgin Care.

Dr. Peers is very involved in the teaching, training and lecturing of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. She is a key opinion leader in the field of womens' health and is on National and Global advisory boards for various pharmaceutical companies. Since 2010 she has been a founding member of the INTRA group. This is composed of ten global experts in intra-uterine contraception. The group conduct research, write articles and publish papers on the use of intra-uterine contraception - particularly in nulliparous women (women who haven't had any children).


She features in teaching and training videos on the Internet, and is published frequently in both the medical and national press. She can often be seen speaking at global conferences, particularly in Europe.

Dr. Peers lives in Surrey with her husband and has a son and two daughters.
